Craft House Opens Aug 1 at Williamstown’s Taylor’s location

On Friday August 1st, the Craft House opens on the Black Horse Pike at the former Taylor’s / Alpine location. The bar closed somewhat abruptly this summer so that the changeover could happen.

The owners also own a large bar/restaurant complex on Rt 70 Cherry Hill, which also went through a similar theming change.

42freeway plans on stopping in Friday to check out the place

New IHOP in Williamstown opening soon. Hiring has started.

Along the hot Cross Keys rd corridor, a new IHOP restaurant is getting ready to open soon. Construction looks almost complete and hiring has started. Nice to see a new IHOP coming to the area as they seemed to have vanished over the last few decades.

An online post indicates a trailer has been setup for hiring, targeting crew and assistant managers

Deptford’s Ulta moving to Barnes and Noble center also

The Deptford Ulta store located in the center behind Chili’s will soon be opening at a new location at the Barnes and Noble center, situated between David’s Bridal and the not-opened-yet HomeGoods store. Things must be progressing nicely as they are advertising in the windows for new hires

It will make for a nice set-up for new brides-to-be with gown shopping, wedding makeup and home shopping all in a row. And right around the corner is the new Buy Buy Baby store for when the first baby arrives!

Also in the area is the new Harmon’s Face Values store which seemingly will go head to head with Ulta

Sal and Pat’s pizza opens in Bellmawr

Brookawn Diner Construction moving fast

It was once the “ship” diner but most knew it as the Brooklawn Diner with it’s 24hr operation and bar license. But new owners are breathing new life into the old diner, and possibly shaking up an a crowded dining marketplace. The old Brooklawn Diner fed a full house for breakfast, dinner and the after hours crowd. It was noticeable before it’s shuttering a few years ago that it was getting a little rundown. When the tax man came and took away the liquor license, you knew where it was headed. But today based solely on the exterior it looks like a major remodeling is taking place, and I can’t wait to get inside to see what they are up to. Rumors circulating that it is owned by a well known Philadelphia diner family.

In short, is a commerce blog featuring stories on new retail developments, roadway improvements, and interesting area events all with the goal to inform and promote the towns along Rt 42.
