A brand new Hilton Garden Inn Hotel is close to completion on the Camden waterfront, and job opportunities appeared online this week!  We don’t have an exact date for their expected opening, but the online reservation system seems to allow us to book start January 1st…  but that is far from official.  We noticed that recently job postings for all facets of the hotel have gone online, and we linked at the bottom of the article.

Camden’s Minor League Ballpark Campbell’s Field, is now completely gone. After 16 years and the loss of it’s Minor League team, Government officials deemed the property had better uses, and it will become athletic fields for Rutgers University Camden.

A cheesesteak on a round poppy seed roll? The nationally famous Donkey’s Place is open the first Saturday of each month. And while you are there, drive a little further to visit Cooper River Distillers for some locally made rum and whiskey.
