Now that’s a jam packed headline… and it’s all for Blackwood Clementon Road! We also give an update on three other stories! Chipotle, Giant Fitness and Keep It Shrimple!
Wawa
Wawa Stores
A Super update on Super Wawas! In Deptford, real construction started this week! And in Washington Township… they are still working on final road access approvals.  We’ve chatted with people in the projects, and even pulled an OPRA request for approval details… read on!
Things are finally happening with the new Super Wawa project on Clements Bridge Road!  Underground utility work is complete, concrete curbing and sidewalks are in… and we should see the building start going up soon! 5 min video overviews the current site and how the traffic will flow in and out of the property, and a possible (much later) new cut-through from Clements Bridge Road and Rt 55 at Deptford Center Road!
Wawa is planning another Gloucester Township location, this time in Erial. They will appear before the Zoning board regarding their desire to develop a store on a corner site of a currently a closed bank building. The new Super Wawa (with gas) will also take over the properties of 3 homes directly behind the bank building. The Zoning Board meeting is Wednesday July 8th.
42Freeway has put together an explanation video of the realignment taking place where Blackwood-Barnsboro Road meets Egg Harbor Road. We use drone video with label and voice overlays to explain what is taking place, the benefits to drivers, and the position of the new Super Wawa and a Fast Food restaurant.
Construction has started on the realigning of Blackwood-Barnsboro Road in Washington Township, where it connects to Egg Harbor Road. The new connection point will be further away from the center of the main 5-points intersection and include a new TRAFFIC SIGNAL, which should provide for better traffic flow in and out of Blackwood-Barnsboro Road.  This change will also make room for a to-be-developed Super Wawa which will be sitting in a new, larger wedge of the 5-points intersection… but positioned facing Egg Harbor Road. Most of this land is currently the County Conservation (Mulch) business.
