It’s been a long road back from a devasting fire, but today The Trio Tavern celebrates one of its final steps in its rebirth…. They are officially opening the outside bar.
I stopped in this morning as Joe Trio and the bar staff were setting up for the day’s events.
The bar is open now, and at 3pm “Hook ’em up BBQ” fires up, and at 6pm the awesome rock cover band JailBreak rocks the party. The Trio tavern has a wide 16 ft open slider door in front of the outside bar that will allow band to set up inside and rock the crowd both inside and out.
The Trio Tavern reopened in Dec 2013 after a large fire shut down the business. Dramatic news footage of the fire’s start made national news.
Today… Simply consider it a new bar in the same footprint with all the old great times still in place. Inside, everything is new and now the outside bar is back in action.
Trio Tavern sits closest to the end of the 42 Freeway coverage area in Williamstown, and while it may be a bit of a drive for many of our readers it’s definitely worth the drive on a beautiful Saturday afternoon to get out and enjoy the awesome weather, try some delicious food and drink, and catch the amazing sounds of Jailbreak
Classic Rock fans who will be especially happy to hear Jailbreak perform… A full power show of all the great rock songs you love.
The outside bar was a favorite stop for many travelers and bike riders back and forth from the shore and with it reopening you have many more reasons to stop.
