Chipotle Coming to Sewell’s Acme Shopping Center. Pesce Signage Goes Up

Chipotle Coming to Sewell’s Acme Shopping Center. Pesce Signage Goes Up
Reading Time: 2 minutes

A very alert reader Anthony D messaged me he discovered that according to the Chipotle website, a new location is coming to Egg Harbor Road in Sewell Washington Township in the Acme shopping center!

As Anthony tells it:

Was just talking with friends that I wanted a Chipotle/Moes/Pancheros in TWP because I always have to go to either Sicklerville, Deptford, or Glassboro for it. …   I actually stumbled upon this on Twitter. Went to Chipotle website to check myself and make sure it wasn’t photoshopped or anything.

When I got home from work, I too looked it up on the Chipotle site, and sure enough there it is “Coming Soon”.   So you won’t find it under location search, but if you click to order online and enter in 08080 for a zip code… there it is!

A really awesome detective job Anthony, and even better… you thought to send it to me, to share with all of our readers.

My guess is that they move into the space in the front separate building which was freed up when MBM Sports moved into the main shopping center.  This would be a great match for how Chipotle likes to present their stores.  So I did some additional research and tracked down the Washington Center Shoppes leasing page, but there is no indication there.   I mainly wanted to see if I could confirm the exact location.  But that doesnt really matter… Chipotle is a large publicly traded firm and they aren’t going to list the new location if it’s not signed, sealed and on it’s way to be delivered.

Pesce Signage Goes Up

Back in May we shared the story that Pesce Ristorante was coming to the same Egg Harbor Road shopping center, down on the far right side where Mozzarella Grill was located.   Readers have been anxiously waiting for this new eatery and it is one of my most asked about stories.

Last week I drove by and noticed that the main signage is up on the front and side of the building.  I didnt get a great pic, but I include it here.   I do not have any specifics on opening date but this is a great sign that it is coming (literally a sign), and I also noticed a construction permit on the windows.

These things just take time

Both of these new eateries should see plenty of business in this shopping center, with Kennedy Hospital expanding, numerous other offices in the area, and plenty of residences.   It’s actually ironic to me how much better the Egg Harbor Rd commercial corridor is doing than the more traveled Black Horse Pike…  but that’s a post for another day
