Dawn to Dusk Cafe is a new breakfast and lunch eatery in the heart of Rowan’s main street boulevard in Glassboro, and yesterday they celebrated their Grand Opening. 42Freeway stopped in a few weeks ago, and I am just now getting to posting about it.
Let’s just get this out of the way… my family has declared their BLT sandwich “One of the best in the area”. Thicker bacon, all fresh ingredients. Perfect. It was so good, that even though my daughter and I had ordered other entrees (which were also delicious), after we tried my wife’s BLT we ordered another for us to split! Just writing this… I think I’ll be back Sunday for another! ha
Dawn to Dusk cafe is living up to it’s name, with hours that match the breakfast and lunch crowd 7am to 3pm. It is a bright and cheery place with a Southwest vibe to the decor, offering plenty of table seating and a large counter. They even offer a “grab and go” drink area.
Rowan has had some great food and beverage additions to the Boulevard with Chickie and Pete’s, Mexican Mariachi, Axe and Arrow, and LaScala’s Fire… but let’s not forget that this is still a University and probably more than half the students aren’t 21… and casual breakfast and lunch spots were lacking. In our visit 2 weeks ago, the plan seems to be working as most of the tables were full during our visit, which considering its summer break time is even more impressive. The counter was a little quiet, but I guarantee if you come back in September that counter will be a hot spot!
The food was delicious! I had a breakfast burrito which was loaded with egg, sausage and more, my daughter started with a grilled cheese and chili, and my wife went for the BLT.
I see on their Facebook page that yesterday they had their official ceremonial Grand Opening, which was a reminder to me “oh you have to post about this”! It also had me notice that their Facebook page right now only has 205 “likes”. Go like their page, and heard over to Rowan Boulevard this weekend and try them out!
As mentioned, they are located on Rowan Boulevard on the same side as Barnes and Noble, directly across the street on the corner in one of the newer buildings. If you haven’t walked the boulevard, I highly recommend an outing where you stop at Dusk to Dawn for lunch (or another great eatery), walk the Boulevard to check out all the interesting stores… and then in the afternoon pop into Axe and Arrow brewing on the plaza!
